He was predeceased by: his parents, Whitford Dyer Armstrong and Verna Elizabeth Armstrong (Smith); his siblings, Don Armstrong and Jean Borsa; his brother-in-law Rocco Borsa; his nephew Steve Borsa; and his niece Lydia McDonald.
He is survived by: his wife Raeona Armstrong (Atkins); his stepchildren, Kristin Taylor (Mark), Daniel Ball (Christie Orschell), Jennifer Kennedy (Mike), Jan Fehner (John) and Jeffrey Huyck (Patricia Voice); his grandchildren, Erik Taylor (Krystal), Amy Shields (Rob), Adam Taylor (Alyson), Alexander Kennedy, Craig Fireck, Chad Fireck (Amy), Paige Fehner (Alex Poppema) and Xia-Tian Huyck; his great grandchildren, Kylee, Benjamin, Ayden and Kamdyn; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Andrea McDonald (Rich Crane), Paulette Sporte, Julie Rye (Eric), Lindsay Brindley (Micah), Meredith Korn (Gene), Matthew Lamb (Erin), Ravi Ramaswamy (Maru), Rachel Ramaswamy, Rebecca Ramaswamy and Robert Ramaswamy (Anna); and also, Colten, Regan, Avery, Christian, Montgomery, Jack, Isaac, Samuel, William, Harlan, Hannah, Lucy, Adriana, Amalia, Forbes and Andrea.
