He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Pirkola and Miriam Pirkola (Leppanen); and his brother Marcus Pirkola. He is survived by: his sister Pauline Morin (Allen Boda) of Arnheim. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
