He is survived by: his wife Mary Geroux; his pet Albie; his children, Teri DeCota of Gwinn and Joey DeCota; his brothers, Allen DeCota (Lori) of L'Anse, Mike DeCota of L'Anse, Ron DeCota of Baraga, Dave DeCota of Baraga and Joel DeCota; his niece Kelly Shelifoe of Zeba; and his grandchildren, Christian DeCota, Kara Hazen and Philip Edwards Jr. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
