She was predeceased by: her parents, Darwin Heikkila and Donna Heikkila (Paul); and her brother Donald Heikkila. She is survived by: her son Michael Heikkila (Jamie Paakkonen) of Brooklyn; her sister Diane Velmer (Bill Raymond) of L'Anse; and her nephew Derrick Velmer.
