He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Stokes and Minnie Stokes; his stepfather Leo Shurr; his nephew Davey; and his brother David Westerfield.
He is survived by: his children, Brandi Freislinger (Travis Wilkinson), Nicole Frost (John) and Chaz Taylor (Amy); his grandchildren, Aubree, Graham, Lucy, Lyvia, Alexis, Luke and Colton; his siblings, Roger Stokes, Debbie Westerfield and Cindy Weemhoff (Chad); and his cousins, Everett Stokes and Warren Adams.
The family suggest memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
