He was predeceased by: his father Gordon Empson; his grandmother Dorothy Empson; and his aunt Sandy. He is survived by: his mother Rosemary Empson; his children, Nathan Empson of Bangor, Eric Empson of Bangor and Mary Empson (Patrick Knapp) of Kalamazoo; his brother Scott Empson (Leisa) of Bangor; and his nieces, Ashlei, Jennifer and Kelsei.
