It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lois Evelyn Verdonk (Bangor, Michigan), who passed away on October 1, 2020, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Evelyn Bregger (Root) and Louis Blake Bregger; her pet Cindy; her son David; her brothers, Allan Bregger and Don Bregger; her husband John W. Verdonk; her children, Tara Rougle (William) of Alexandria and John L. (Jennifer) of Simpsonville; her grandchildren, Ashley, Joshua Verdonk and Eliana Rougle; her stepgranddaughter Wolfie Rougle (Michael Smith); and her sisters, Alice Steinbach and Doris Finn. She was also cherished by nieces and nephews.

Donations may be made to the Bangor Congregational Church or Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.

She was my aunt, my mom’s youngest sister, only 7 years older than me. I remember when she was dating John Verdonk in high school & college, their wedding day & many Bregger family gatherings. Lois & I also traveled with my mom, Doris. Lois was a wonderful, empathetic women, who had strong beliefs that guided her life. She loved John & her kids.”
