She was predeceased by: her parents, Percy Schroyer and Edna M. Schroyer; and her husband Dr. Joseph E. Cooper. She is survived by: her siblings, Philip, Donald, Harriet and Paul Schroyer; her stepchildren, Charlotte J. Cooper (William Devereaux) of Clifton Springs, NY, Jo Ellen Cooper of New York, NY, Wendy S. Latham of Kalamazoo, MI and Lance A. Cooper (Bethany) of Lake Jackson, TX; her stepgrandchildren, Eva Latham of Kalamazoo, Lydia Latham of Mt. Pleasant, MI, Ryan Forte of Red Lion, PA and Shelby Araujo of Clute, TX; her son S. Nuri Erbas of Silver Spring, MD; her grandchildren, Serra and Ayse Erbas; and her son David Bournay of Bangor.
Due to COVID-19 travel restrictions there will be no memorial at this time, but a service to celebrate her life will be scheduled in the future.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Simpson United Methodist Church in Bangor or to the Bangor Public Library.
