It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Glen R. Smidt of Bangor, Michigan, who passed away at the age of 87, on April 17, 2025. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Kasper II and Anna Smidt II (Duetcher); his wife Jeanette Staszak; and his brothers, Kasper Smidt III and William Smidt.
He is survived by: his children, Luann Harden (Craig) of South Haven and Richard Smidt (Sandi) of Bangor; his grandchildren, Kara Getman (Evan), Holly McCoy (Alan), Kip Harden and Heidi Jerz (Joe); and his great grandchildren, Carley, Tristan, Jaret, Kalin, Ava, Charleigh, Mason and Evalyn. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bangor Chapel (258 W Monroe St, Bangor, MI 49013). A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
The family suggests memorials be made to Corewell Hospice of South Haven.
