With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Douglas J MacKinder in Bangor, Michigan, born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, who passed away on November 25, 2020 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Norris "Mac" and Evelyn Mackinder; his brother Larry Mackinder; and his sister-in-law Rosemarie Freestone. He is survived by: his wife Georgia Ann Freestone; his daughters, Heather Valenziano of St. Joseph and Rebecca Wells (Brian) of Chicago; his grandchildren, Francesca, Jack and Aiden; his brothers, Dennis Mackinder and Ron Prentice; his siblings-in-law, Don Freestone and Dayla Mackinder; and his nieces, Tonda Dimond (Leon), Tammy Ridenour (Terry), Jennifer Hescott and Jeanine Jakobcic (Jeff).
In lieu of flowers or gifts, donations can be made to the First Congregational Church of Bangor, Grand Junction Congregational Church or Hospice of Southwest Michigan.
