He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Hewitt and Marion Hewitt (Baker); and his siblings, Sally Haley, Dale, Donald, Wesley and Floyd Hewitt.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Michael Hewitt (Patty) and Crystal Hewitt; his son-in-law Kevin Hewitt (Laura); his grandsons, Max and Alex Hewitt; his daughter Julie Tucker; his grandchildren, Dan Tucker (Nikki), Michael Tucker (Candace), David Tucker (Courtney) and Sarah Hewitt; and his brother-in-law Sam McPherson of Engadine.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Shiawassee County Humane Society.
