He is survived by: his son Phillip; his wife Ruth Ann; his children, Melissa Leedle (Charlie), Brian Newman (Summer) and Evan Newman (Cindy); his grandchildren, Payton Leedle, Paige Leedle, Chris Newman, Austin Newman (Caitlin Bruce) and Jules Newman; his great grandchildren, Eva and Eli Holmes; and his sisters, Ann Sleeseman (Bill) and Carol Sleeseman (Gary).

Memorials honoring him are suggested to Wounded Warrior Project or to Michael J Fox Parkinson's Foundation.
