It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Sherwood Powell of Bailey, Michigan, who passed away on June 29, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Powell and Elsie Powell (Brisbin); his spouse Karan Judith Herrygers; his son Mark E. Powell; his sister-in-law Joyce Powell; his brother Dennis Powell; his sisters-in-law, Mary Powell and Sharon Shue; his sisters, Alice Powell-Sunneson and Pat Powell-Marvin; and his sister-in-law Diane Taylor.
He is survived by: his children, Karel Powell of Comstock Park, Karla Jene Powell-Minaker (Robert) of Bailey, Miles Powell of Essexville, Michael J. Powell (Colleen) of Walker and Matthew Powell (Angie Thomas) of Georgia; his daughter-in-law Valerie Peters-Powell; his grandchildren, Mark Powell, Jr., Adam Powell, Paul Fotopoulos (Brianne), Jacob Powell (Amanda), Miles Powell, Jr., Ethan Powell, Ariel Powell (Ben Hiatt) and Emily Powell; his great grandchild Brayden Fotopoulos; and his siblings, David Powell (Janet), Jim Powell, Paul Powell (Jeanne), Tom Powell and Pam Webb. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
