With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wayne Wilburt Knechtel of Bad Axe, Michigan, born in Elkton, Michigan, who passed away on August 19, 2022 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Alvin Knechtel; his wife Audrey Walsh; his daughter Julia Pratt; and his siblings, Alvin John Knechtel and Mary Lou Elenbaum.
He is survived by: his daughter Janice Parker of St. Joseph; his grandchildren, Christopher Parker (Angie), Melanie Kinney (Shawn) and Carrie Pratt (Greg); and his great grandchildren, Ethan, Elijah, Sarah, Jessica, Andrew, Ryan, Allison, Skyler, Samuel, Julian, Timothy, LiLayla, Jayce and Gemma.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Huron County Community Foundation.
