He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Bernard and Beverly Gahagan (Smith); his siblings, Joseph, Matthew, Shaun Gahagan and Maureen Giffen; and his nephew Michael Anderson.

He is survived by: his sisters, Lauretta Gahagan of Bad Axe and Kathleen "Buffie" Anderson (Dave) of Fenton; and his nephew Sean Anderson (Rena Blunt).
