With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Nelson Young of Bad Axe, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 3, 2025 at the age of 79. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Young and Hadie Young (Brade); his siblings, Jay and Anna Marie Marsh; and his in-laws, Bernadette Young, Delbert Marsh, Eugene Chaplinski, William Jimpkoski and Marvin Jeffery.
He is survived by: his wife Gail; his children, Brenda Krotchen (David) and Brian Young (Brenda); his grandchildren, Nick Krotchen (Sarah) and Erica Rich (Dan); his great grandchildren, Danny, Joey and Ben; his brother Ray Young (Kathy); his in-laws, Robert Pitcher, Marion Chaplinski, Marsha Jimpkoski and Cheryl Jeffery; and his close friend Dave Hyzer.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Savior Lutheran Church (123 W Irwin St, Bad Axe, MI 48413).
