He was predeceased by: his father Walter Gucwa; his grandparents, John, Lottie Janik, Helen and Michael Gucwa; and his great-nephew Jacob.

He is survived by: his mother Mary Gucwa (Janik); his siblings, Chester Gucwa (Linda), Adam Gucwa (Cindy) and Linda Gucwa; and his godchildren, Serena, Stacey, Doug and Robert. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
