He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent Maurer and Evelyn Maurer (Bannick); his siblings, Della Anderson (Bill), Don Maurer (Lila), Rick Maurer (Debra), Trudy Brenner, Connie Arntz and Linda Ferris; and his sister-in-law Mary Ann Maurer.
He is survived by: his siblings, Sherry Roberts (Douglas) of Elkton, Julie Craig (Gregory) of Bad Axe and Randy Maurer of Bad Axe; and his brothers-in-law, Joe Brenner and Lee Ferris. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.
