He was predeceased by: his parents, Avery Rochefort and Irma Rochefort (Babcock); his former wife Jean Shuart; and his siblings, Don, Lyle Rochefort, Florence McDowell Black and Carol Watkins Klawinski.
He is survived by: his wife Harriet Detrick (Hartshorn) of Bad Axe; his children, Cindy McBride (Mac) of Bad Axe, Lori Trepkowski (Kevin) of Ubly, Jerry Rochefort (Donna) of Port Austin and Jeff Rochefort (Cindy) of Bad Axe; his grandchildren, Annie Meinhold (Aaron), Rebecca Couet (Bryan), Megan McBride, Melissa Herman (Josh), Jill Miller (Jeff), Jeff Rochefort (Tina), Zac Eskau (Katie), Rob Eskau, Michael Eskau, Garrett Jurges (Faith), Jackie Rochefort, Samantha Guza (Kolbe), Amanda Gentner, Garrett Gentner and Hunter Rochefort; his great grandchildren, Haley, Jack, Ethan, Jake, Griffin, Katelyn, Andrew, Ryan, Georgia, Carter, Parker, Heath and Sophie; and his siblings-in-law, Allene Walker, Pat Ortega, Janet Rotger, Janie Shuart and Clark Shuart (Veniece). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a private service will be held with cremation burial immediately following at Colfax Township Cemetery.
