He is survived by: his spouse Winnie Edwards; his children, William Cleland (Deborah) of Bad Axe, Douglas Cleland (Joyce) of Ubly, Sharon Sturgill (William) of Bad Axe and Karen Friebe (David) of Auburn; his grandchildren, Nicole Anzell (Robert), Candice Parsons (Kyle), Erin Recker (Kyle), Michael Cleland (Breanna), Sarah Cleland, David Sturgill (Sarah), Megan, Matthew, Alexander and Benjamin Friebe; his great grandchildren, Alexander, Elizabeth, Emily, Isabelle, Victor, Vivienne, Addison, Jack, Adrienne, Avery, Adalynn, Brooklyn, Ella, Grant and Jacob; and his siblings, Judy Doerr (Jim) of Ubly, Jerry Cleland (Theo) of Cass City, Janette Minnick (Bay City), Elizabeth Sabaugh of Tomball, TX, William Edwards (Benton Harbor) and Gene Edwards (Jan) of San Diego, CA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered to the Bad Axe First United Methodist Church (to go towards the new roof fund).
