With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Walter Knapp of Avoca, Michigan, born in Yale, Michigan, who passed away on October 18, 2022 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Knapp and Loretta Knapp (Hilliker); and his sisters, Mary Byrnes and Margaret Green. He is survived by: his wife Ruthann Harvey; his children, James (Theresa) of Port Huron, Mark (Lisa) of Yale and Heidi Ames (Chris) of Port Huron; and his siblings, Gail Welsh (John) of Peck, Gwen Gassel of Port Huron and Jerry Knapp of Croswell. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren.
