The memory of Hazel Marion Janssens in Avoca, Michigan, who passed away on January 24, 2025 at the age of 92, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her mother Theresa Burkhardt; her granddaughter Theresa Barrett; and her siblings, Clifton Burkhardt, Catherine Gerwitz, Gerogeanna Gonzales and Carolyn Henry.
She is survived by: her children, Les Kestner (Evelyn) of Avoca, Robert Kestner of Oak Park, Bonnie McCormick of Yale, Carole Withey of Lexington and Mary Lou Barrett (Tom) of Aspen, GA; her stepchildren, Chris Janssens (Brenda) of Canada, Dale Janssens (Stella) of Canada and Lynn Andrews of Canada; and her siblings, Anges Gerwitz of Machias, NY and Lester Burkhardt of North Collins, NY. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 5 great, great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Family Home (8650 Lapeer Rd, Avoca, MI 48006).
