He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Robert Carlton and Celina Carlton (Simson); his wife Linda Mezo Carlton; his children, Jim Zuidema (Barb), Laurie Thurman (Don), Paul Hainer and Lorrie Harness; his grandchildren, Bethany Zuidema, Cole Zuidema, Brianna Zuidema, Emily Hainer and Brody Thurman; his sister-in-law Brenda Carlton; and his siblings, Frances Allen (Dave), Bob Carlton and Ruth Baker (William). He was also cherished by several nieces & nephews.
