Opal Allen Obituary

We bid farewell to Opal Allen of Augusta, Michigan, born in Bloomington, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on August 13, 2024 at the age of 92. Opal touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy House and Stella House (Harris); her stepfather George Thompson; her siblings, George and Gloria; her former husbands, Thomas Marshall and Norvel Harris, Sr.; and her aunt Delfie House.

She is survived by: her husband Harry Allen; her children, Norvel Harris Jr. (Della), Tonya Harris, David G. Harris, Leroy Harris and Chandra Allen-Redding; her sister Arnora Brown; and her cousins, Edna, Judy Boswell, Betty and Carlton Harris. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.

Donations may be made to the Battle Creek Tabernacle of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in her name or to a charitable organization of your choosing.
