70 of Augusta passed away Saturday October 26, 2024 at Centrica Rose Arbor Place. Michael was born December 26, 1953 in Battle Creek the son of Larry and Margareta (Finkey) French. He graduated from Galesburg-Augusta High School and was employed by the Augusta Telephone Company. Michael was a member of the Ross-Augusta and the Galesburg Fire Departments, he enjoyed car shows, racing, fishing walks, bicycle riding, camping and excursions to visit bridges. On February 12, 1994 in Delton Michael was united in marriage to Schewanna Sue (Roe) French who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Cynthia (Kurt) Shindledecker; 3 grandchildren, Erik, Casandra, Kody; 4 great-grandchildren, Kayde, Liam, Rylee, Wyatt; brother, Jeff French; sister, Sherri (Matt) Storbeck; nephew, Justin (Katie) Storbeck; great-nephew, Rowan Storbeck.
