He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward "Ted" Adams and Mabel Adams (Daniels); his wife Mary Lou Adams (Weick); and his siblings, Trula Bensinger (Earl), Gloria Shoemaker and Ned Adams.

He is survived by: his children, Dan Adams (Sandy), Philip Adams (Mary) and Mary Beth Kelly (Jim); his grandchildren, Janae, Matt, Joey Adams, Abby Meddaugh (Ryan), Kyle (Emily), Sean and Brendan Kelly; and his siblings-in-law, Barb Adams and Bill Weick. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cycling friends.
