He is survived by: his wife Margaret Meersma; his daughter Heather Wall (Mike) of Clarkston; his grandchildren, Olivia Wall of Tennessee and Seth Wall of South Dakota; and his brothers, Don Carpenter (Joyce) of Kalamazoo and Philip Carpenter (Tracy) of Washington.
