He is survived by: his children, Genevieve Gilmer (Raymer), Vicki Wessels (Dan), David Wessels, Brittany Wessels, Lisa Gilmer, Ryan Hoerdemann and Cameryn Hoerdemann; his stepdaughters, Keli Weinberg of Florida and Kim Juarez of Battle Creek; his grandson Robert La Parl; his stepsisters, Susan Cornett of Grand Rapids and Diane Venditti (Danny) of Canada; and his nephew Jason Gilmer.
