He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Sargent and Margaret Sargent (Keblebeck). He is survived by: his wife Evelyn A. Kustuch; his daughters, Debbie Purcell and Valery Sargent; his daughter-in-law Jean Wineman; his grandchildren, Tracy (Dan), Lindsey (AJ), Britni (Joe), Kelsey (John), Maisie (Robbie) and Mac (Ashley); his son-in-law Terry; and his sister Eva. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
