He was predeceased by: his sibling Kim Cooney; and his pet Rhino. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Cooney; his children, Matthew Cooney and Tara Flook (Donald); his stepson Zachary Highlen (Amber); his grandchildren, Donnie (Gillian), Lilly, Alyssa, Wyatt and Emma; and his brothers, Bill Cooney (Jeannie) and Jeff Cooney (Jill).
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the River Church - Waterford (3411 Airport Rd, Waterford Twp, MI 48329). A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the River Church (3411 Airport Rd, Waterford Twp, MI 48329).
Memorials may be made to the church for the Food Pantry.
