He was predeceased by: his former wife Wilma (Beattie); and his son Andy. He is survived by: his children, Cyndy Marquez, Steven Bernd, Ruth Groenhout, Dawn Steffes and Laura Campbell; his wife Mary Elizabeth Bernd (Mathie); and his stepchildren, Neil Wallace, Susan Paauwe, Janet Matherly and Charles Wallace. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
