She was predeceased by: her husband Charles "Chuck" Updike. She is survived by: her children, Norma MacDougall of Fort Worth, Texas, Charles "Chip" Updike Jr. of Midland, Michigan, Hoyt Updike of Oscoda, Michigan and Janmarie Gregorich (Gary) of Box Elder; and her brother Robert Ives of Huntsville, Alabama.. She is also survived by four grandchildren, five great grandchildren.
