He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas DeView and Elaine DeView (Hamlin); and his sister Mary Agnes Woodall. He is survived by: his wife Terria Carpenter of Attica; his children, Duaine DeView of Attica, Carrie DeView of New Haven, Ronald DeView of Bay City, Derek DeView of Davison and Jerod DeView of Lapeer; his grandchildren, Cody, Samantha, Ashlee, Harrison, Nicole, Timothy, Delilah, Penelope, Liam, Lux, Rourke and Luna; his great grandchildren, Keagan, Rylee, Dayton, Robin, Elizabeth, Ashton and Jared; and his siblings, Ernie DeView (Billie) of Alabama, Joe DeView (Lisa) of Alabama, Thomas DeView (Joo) of California, Belinda Major (Csaba) of Florida, Kathy DeView of Utah and Ann Bower (Tom) of North Branch. He is also survived by many many nieces and nephews.
