He was predeceased by: his parents, Hank and Mary Shonka, Sr. (Avery); his son Erik Shonka; and his niece Deanna Tucker. He is survived by: his son Tim; his sister Mary "Lucy" Tucker of Metamora; his nephews, Herbert "Buddy" Tucker (Leasa) and Bill Tucker (Joddy); his niece Melissa Tucker (Nathan Patzwaldt); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Brian, Liam, Harrison, Ashley, Jolene and Danielle.
