He was predeceased by: his parents, James Townsend and Vera Townsend (Dullinger); and his brother Jerry Townsend. He is survived by: his wife Janet Sue; his children, Debbie Schmitz (Ed), David Townsend (Cheron) and Holly Zugcic (Mark); his grandchildren, Heidi Schmitz, Erich Schmitz (Andrea), Cassie Thornsberry, Morgan Townsend, Remington Ballard and Zoe Townsend; and his great grandchildren, Fiona Schmitz and Everleigh Thornsberry.
