He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter A. Kinnunen and Tyne Kinnunen Sr. (Wesman); his wife Helen Anderson; his grandchildren, Alex Muszynski and Andra Aho; his siblings, Elsie Kahila, Pauline Ross, Beverly LeMaster, Myra Walitalo and Roy Kinnunen; and his daughter-in-law Denise Kinnunen.
He is survived by: his children, Edie Johnson (Jerry) of Atlantic Mine, Steve Kinnunen (Nancy) of Atlantic Mine, Vicky Sleeman (Bill) of Chassell, Dan Kinnunen (Christina) of Atlantic Mine, Peter Kinnunen III (Sherry), Atlantic Mine Pam Aho (David) of Dollar Bay, Ron Kinnunen (Lora) of Atlantic Mine and Shelly Kinnunen (Jim Wilhelm) of Essexville, MI; and his sisters, Pearl Rajala of Baraga and Gloria Niemisto of Baraga. He is also survived by 63 grandchildren; 184 great grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren.
