He is survived by: his wife Mae; his children, Sandra Optenberg (Lance), Denise Connell (Michael), Steve LaRue, Rick LaRue (Freda) and Judy LaRue (Mike Fik); his grandchildren, Ian Optenberg (Sharyn), Melissa Fredricks (Ed), Brian LaRue (Jillian), Sara LaRue, Chad LaRue, Will, Ryan, Emilee Blanchard and Evan Deppen; his sister Olivia LaRue; and his siblings-in-law, Carole Tervo and David Kaiponen.
