He was predeceased by: his parents, John Kemppainen and Amanda Kemppainen (Tapani); his son John; and his siblings, Ralph, Arnold and Viola Koski.
He is survived by: his sons, Brian of Calumet, Mark (Ellen) of Denmark and David of Green Bay, Wisc.; and his sister Verna Schaeffer of Lake Tahoe, Calif. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
