We bid farewell to Barb Lahnala of Atlantic Mine, Michigan, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 31, 2024 at the age of 86. Barb touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Reuben Bammert of Ahmeek and Ina Bammert (Soivio); her siblings, Ruth Karpinen (Ken), Fay Kuitunen (Wayne), Dorothy Beaudoin (Clem), Reuben and Gordon Bammert (RoseMarie); and her in-laws, Edward, Aune Lahnala, Phyllis Kuusisto, Bill Lahti, Barbara Bammert and Nancy Bammert.
She is survived by: her husband Erland Lahnala of Atlantic Mine; her daughters, Greta Maples (Michael) of Atlantic Mine and Maria Vadnais (Dale) of Atlantic Mine; her grandchildren, Hannah Foreman Kirjava (Elizabeth) of St. Paul, MN, Briana Kepich (Joshua) of Ironwood, Bethany Johnson (Benjamin) of Chassell, Max Vadnais (Hannah Nichols) of Hancock, Ethan Vadnais of Marquette and Draven Maples of Atlantic Mine; her great grandchildren, Olive and Thaddeus; her siblings, William Bammert, Richard Bammert (Pat), Joesph Bammert and Kenneth Bammert; and her in-laws, Beatrice Lahti, Laura Collins (Hartley) and Ernie Kuusisto. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Memorial Chapel Funeral & Cremation Service - Mt. View Chapel (14 7th St, South Range, MI 49963). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
