He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivan Hoard and Ione Hoard (Orvis); and his daughter Andrea Peckinpaugh. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Hoard of Atlanta; his children, David Peckinpaugh of Lewiston, Bryan Peckinpaugh (Amy) of Redford, Jessica Kalumbula (Mulonge) of Grand Rapids and Sarah Quispe (Juan) of Tampa, Florida; his grandchildren, Uriah Peckinpaugh, Jana Kalumbula, Kalani Kalumbula, Amani Kalumbula, Naomi Quispe and Isabella Peckinpaugh; and his sisters, Linda Abbott of Weidman and Marilyn McHugh (Jim) of Zanesville, Ohio..
