With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Jane DeVriendt of Atlanta, Michigan, born in Detroit, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 17, 2024 at the age of 81. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford Maechtle and Jane Maechtle; her brother Ed Maechtle; her son Dan DeVriendt; and her stepgranddaughter Lisa.
She is survived by: her husband George; her children, Bob DeVriendt (Robin) of Atlanta and Sandra Baum of Atlanta; her brother Richard Maechtle (Sharon) of Clinton Township; her grandsons, Brock Baum of Atlanta and Devon DeVriendt of Northport; and her stepgranddaughter Sherrie of Texas.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a local fundraiser in Tassie's name.
