He is survived by: his wife Julie Vandermeer (Platte); his children, Andrea Vandermeer (Robin Sillars), Caitlyn Vandermeer, Erica Vandermeer (Zachary Pennigsdorf) and Jacob Vandermeer; his granddaughter Natalie Pennigsdorf; and his siblings, Jerry Vandermeer (Lori), Wilma Vandermeer (Kathy Hannigan), Margaret Iott (Mike), Jim Vandermeer (Lisa) and Annette Latty.
