It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gene Ellenwood (Athens, Michigan), born in Dearborn, Michigan, who passed away on May 17, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Wilbur Ellenwood and Lillian Ellenwood (Tapp); his former wife Judy Van Schoick; his wife Bonnie Kubicek (Brillowsky); his siblings, Sharon Devine (Richard), Carolyn Boyd (Martin) and Daniel Ellenwood (Susan); his children, Mark Ellenwood (Cheryl), Marla Sanford (Shawn), Matthew Ellenwood (Jodie), Meredith Sommers (Jon) and Joseph Kubicek (Susan); his grandchildren, Brandon, Bryce, Bryan Ellenwood, Kyle Sanford, Avery, Olivia Ellenwood, Nathaniel, Cora, Hank Sommers, Asher and Leah Kubicek; and his great grandchildren, Maverick, Declan, Madilyn, Bentley and Chloe Ellenwood.
