He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmo Gaines and Ila Gaines (Pemberton); and his brother David Gaines. He is survived by: his son Ronald J. Gaines (Cheryl); his grandchildren, Allen, Kimberly, Erica, Ashley, Luke, Wayne and Andrew; his sister Sandra Sams (Norm); his nephew Steven; and his nieces, Christy and Cindy. He is also survived by his several great-grandchildren.
