He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Malek and Anna Malek (Havelka); his parents-in-law, Clinton and Hazel Kimmel; his siblings, Jerry, Charles and Mary Ann; and his brothers-in-law, Duane, Lester, Ivan, James Kimmel and Russell Nieman.

He is survived by: his wife Ruth Kimmel; his children, Tamey Skinner (Dave) and Monte Malek (Tara); his grandchildren, Benjamin Skinner (Lindsay), Amber Bovee (Troy), Jared Malek (Abby), Amanda, Dylan, Lucas, Mengsi and Luci Malek; his pet Babe; his great grandchildren, Easton, Ebby Bovee, Deacon, Bentlee and Sawyer Skinner; his siblings, Sally Stoll (John) and Bob Malek (Kendy); his sisters-in-law, Waneta Bigelow (Alton), Sharilyn Chilcoat (Jim), Judy Kimmel, Rosemary Bancroft, Sandra Kimmel and Judy Cramer; and also, Bob, Waneta and Sally. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
