He is survived by: his children, Alex (LaTonya Reist) and Nevaeh Reist of Owosso, MI; his father Jeff Reist of Merrill, MI; his siblings, Debbie (Gary Schestag), Jeffrey (LeAnne Reist), Rodney Reist of Ashley, MI, Joyce Reist of Chesaning, MI and Courtney (Scott Beagle); his stepfather George Skorna of St. Johns, MI; and his nephew Ryan Reist (Cinnamon).

Memorials may be made to the family to help cover final expenses.
