It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Viola (Manninen) Sloan (Arnold, Michigan), who passed away on January 5, 2023, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alex Mattonen and Hilia Mattonen (Vennie); her former spouse Waino Manninen; her spouse Gideon "Junior" Sloan; her siblings, Ernest, Hugo, Wilho (Leslie) and Violet (Vivian); her sons, Thomas, James and Dale; and her grandson Raymond Myers.
She is survived by: her children, Anita Bridges, Carol Jensen, Kathy Myers (John Kallio), David Manninen, William Manninen (Donna), Mary Broecker (Jon), Robert Manninen (Laura), Donna Caron, Linda Fundaro (Gary) and Carl Manninen (LeeAnn); her daughters-in-law, Patti Manninen, Corrine Russell (Mike) and Kay Forgette; her stepdaughters, Diana LaFave (Jerry) and Annie Ridener (Daryl); her grandchildren, Cindy Spickerman (Soren), Lauri Carlson, Blaine Bridges (Amanda), Janine Manninen, Jennifer Furman (Jesse), Lisa Casey (Dan), Angela Fhinney (Ryan), Louis Myers (Tracy), Alan Myers (Lesley Knoebel), Wayne Manninen (Michelle), Gina Homminga (Scott), DJ Manninen, Beth Peterson (Jamie), Nicole Karl, Michelle Gaglio (Joe), Brian Blair (Angela), Billy Blair (Jennifer), Adam Manninen (Molly), Todd Manninen, Paul Manninen (Ericka), Terry Broecker (Jen), Christine Broecker, Julie Lambert (Tony), Joe Manninen, Deanna Boucher (Rick), Donny Caron Jordan (Vicki) and Ethan Manninen; her sons-in-law, Louis Myers, Blaine Bridges and Dale Jensen; and her stepson Nathan Sloan. She is also survived by her family and friends.
