Lydia Atkinson Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lydia Atkinson of Armada, Michigan, who passed away on January 4, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Genaro Zarate and Natividad Zarate (Vasquez); her husband Manuel Atkinson; and her siblings, Genaro Zarate, Jr., Victor Zarate, Jesus Vasquez, Julia Zarate, Maria Luisa Zarate, Jesus Zarate and Sebastian Zarate.
She is survived by: her daughters, Christine Schalau (Gerald), Laurie Peplinski (Thomas) and Diana Atkinson; her grandchildren, Raegan, Gerald "Broghan", Aaron, Connor, Jarrett and Avery; and her siblings, Tim Zarate, Mary Lou Carrizales (Robert), Alex Zarate (Maria) and Robert Zarate (Margaret). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Her quilts were often donated to people in need.
