He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred and Evelyn; his son Scott Jacob; and his sisters, Jean Pratt (Don), Marian Sutton (Wesley) and Nancy Mikolowski (Herbert).
He is survived by: his wife Jean Voss; his daughters, Ann Jacob, Stacey Girvin (Rob) and Kay Schacht (Erich); his grandchildren, Robert Girvin III (Kellie), Megan Steinbrink (Kyle), Lauren Fullan (John), Jacob Schacht, Joshua Schacht (Lydia Mattar) and Garrett Schacht (Nichole Geist); and his great grandchildren, Grace, Abby, Ollie, Finn and Bennett. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Congregational United Church of Christ, Armada Public Library, Richards Cemetery or Donor's Choice.
