He is survived by: his son Harry James; his sister Bettie White Nixon of Beaumont, Texas; his children, Adrienne White Tilton of Takoma Park and James Willerson White (Carol Anne) of Ann Arbor, Michigan.; and his grandchildren, Noah, Sophie, Alexander and Dorothy Tilton.
